I mentioned this dilemma a little while ago, so… :

Hello InterestingManWhoMightNeedaCuteNickIfThisGoesAnywhere,
[…stuff…]
I am not sure how much you have read of my blog so far, but I want you to stop reading it. I think the blog contains TMI for someone I am getting to know. I assume that request is not too difficult?

lol…ah huh.
I met mine on the blogs on ALT.
We used them to flirt and other *stuff* – I found it useful and fun.
But yes, personal issues stayed off there. There were things I stopped blogging about while we were new. I never blogged about 'issues' unless they were well past and I had a solution we solved and it made for a good anecdote.

Sweet!! Well, just between you and me, I only started this blog so some fabulous submissive man would find me. I just wish he would hurry up, it's been like two years now! Geez!

Yes! That makes perfect sense.
For me, I am envisaging a pretty lengthy period where I may be dating, or meeting submissives, or casually flirting or some such and if I can't use any of that in my blog, well… there will just be more posts about my shopping list… Only the real perverts want THAT!

lol that would ensure I read EVERY single page of your blog Ferns………………
But you knew that right ?

I'm thrilled to read this, Miss–I hope it portends good things for your immediate future.

Of course you can! I did.
You keep in mind they may read it, so nothing hurtful – but teasing and funny stories (or hot) ones of your adventures are great. Then again, Im fairly transparent.
Or you can try writing in a hmmm…hinting? way.
I dont know…but get out there, woman. I miss your hot posts. ;)
Anonymous: “Of course you can! I did.”
Ahh, but just because you did, doesn't mean I can… we are all different and blah blah blah… My thoughts and many helpful comments about this are in the linked post above, so maybe for you it was easy because of the kinds of relationships you have, because you are transparent, because of the way you write about topics… all those things come into this…
For me, considering the results, implications and fallout of exploring new things make it not so easy to 'just do it'.
“Or you can try writing in a hmmm…hinting? way.”
*laughs and hints at maybe some casual dates and a gently positive correspondence…* How was that?!
“I miss your hot posts.”
Oh god, I miss kissing sooo much it makes my mouth ache.

Ferns,
The post led me to an interesting question on the nature of Domme/sub relationships. Do you have absolutes in the “rules” your sub has to follow and a set of “rules” that are adjusted depending on the sub and the particular relationship with them? I suspect there is a degree of give and take in terms of the specifics of a relationship and there are also hard and fast must haves.

Great question, but a bit much to answer in a comment! I might write a post about this, thank you for it!

Oh goodness, I went on a date with a guy a while back. We’d met at events, and before our date I’d asked him not to read my blog because I wanted him to get to know me as I am now. If things went well there would be time for him to learn about my sordid past.
Anyhooo…. There was a spike in stats over the few days before our date, and he kept mentioning things that he could only have known had he read certain posts. I challenged him and he didn’t have the good grace to be honest. Fare-thee-well oh Dim-dom :)
Sigh, so sad, your contradictions and the way you undermine your own goals are right there on this page:
“I only started this blog so some fabulous submissive man would find me.”
“I am not sure how much you have read of my blog so far, but I want you to stop reading it.”
Well, I found you (I’m totally fabulous, ha! Modest too!) and my reaction was, “OMG love, read, read read, love love love, read read, hmm CONCERN, but still OMG love” before I wrote to you. So my contact was coloured by the concern part, and no doubt that made our interaction less satisfactory for both sides than it might have been with a mutual construction of a connection fit for both sides from more of an optimistic blank slate.
I think you would be better off looking for connections based on a web presence with much less information: a well developed vanilla profile with just enough of a hint of your dommeliness to entice a sub. Maybe wrap it in a riddle incomprehensible to vanillas that they have to respond to to show that they get what you are saying. Really, there must be many fabulous men who swim in mostly vanilla waters who would love to be the sub of a totally fabulous domme like you who is vanilla compatible (me, me, me!)
