Happy 2016!

To all of my fabulous readers and commenters, thank you for your support and loveliness over the past 12 months (and longer for many of you!). I hope that 2016 brings you and yours much joy and love.

I am emerging from several weeks spent with 24/7 family familyfamilyFAMILY. Given I’m an introvert and they are lovely but difficult people, I am mentally and emotionally depleted. When I got home yesterday, I blasted some music and danced around the house: bliss!

In lieu of a traditional end-of-year blog round up and graph porn, I shall leave you with my top 5 viewed posts in 2015:

5. Punishment software for BDSM

4. Furiosa and femdom

3. Which strap-on harness?

2. Advice for the newly minted submissive man seeking

1. When your submissive says ‘no’

  1. Hi Fern,

I follow your account on twitter and like most of us, you play your part well (you can’t tell that you’re an introvert!).

Anyway, from a fellow Aussie (one state south), I hope you also have a great 2016 and are able to find the right man!

    Adam.

    1. *smile* I know right?!

I don’t find online interactions draining in the same way as RL interactions. In any online medium, I can choose when and for how long and with whom I interact, and when I’ve had enough, I just wander off until I feel like it again, and nobody thinks a thing of it.

When you’re actually WITH people in RL and you’ve had enough after a few quick interactions, you really CAN’T just wander off. That’s not how normal social interactions work (I wish!).

Thank you for your good wishes! I hope you have survived the incessant downpours okay.

  2. As always, I have enjoyed your virtual company over these past 12 months, and look forward to more of the same this coming year. May 2016 be full of all those happy, lovely and wonderful things for you!

  3. Happy New Year you too! I was wondering where you were.

And thanks for keeping up the blog. Where else would I go when “the site” gets boring (which is often.)

What, the Milo post is not on the list? That was my favorite!

    1. Ha! You have good taste, because MILO!!

I was really surprised by the top 5. Seems my advice posts are the faves. Just as well I have an opinion about everything :P!

  4. Happy new year! And happy sweet, sweet solitude too! I really don’t think I could deal with multiple weeks of family time, good work not flipping any tables and running howling into the wilderness (as far as we know :) )

    1. I did some quiet howling.

And by ‘howling’, I mean sobbing into my pillow late at night… :P

I am doing nothing, talking to nobody, and lining up some things to binge watch right now. Sooo good.

  5. Sharyn,

I left a question for you on a different place on your site. I hope those still go to you. If not please let me know. We met online years ago.

    1. Oh. My. God!!! *laugh* What a complete delight it is to hear from you after all this time.

I am replying to your email over there *points to mailbox*.

  6. Thank you for all the wonderful posts from the last year, and welcome back to the bliss that is your own safe haven without family around. As an introvert, i applaud you for being able to be around them for so long, one part of christmas day was about as much as i can handle.
I hope 2016 is going to be a marvelous year for you, and that we get to read all about it! Like i said, welcome back, i’ve missed your posts (and yes, i do realize how cheesy that sounds).

    1. Thank you so much for the good wishes (and it doesn’t sound cheesy at all: I appreciate it!).

I hope you and yours also have a wonderful 2016.

      Ferns
